Wenche Lier is the executive assistant to the Chief Program Officer at the Stupski Foundation. She joined the Foundation in May 2019.
Wenche brings a diverse skill set in organizational management and logistics to the Stupski Foundation. As part of her long career in the nonprofit world, Wenche spent several years working for a Bay Area foundation, the Stover Foundation, as an executive assistant and controller. Wenche is passionate about supporting those in need however she can. She has traveled extensively in Southeast Asia, where she worked alongside survivors of human trafficking and children living in slums.
Wenche has served on several boards with her church and local nonprofits including: Task Force Leader, Justice & Compassion Board in Walnut Creek, Feed My Sheep Center in Myanmar, Feet First Foundation in Martinez, Norway Day Festival in San Francisco, and the Young Scandinavians Club in San Francisco. As a lifelong singer and lover of music, she is grateful to have had the chance to sing and speak in prisons in Angola, Louisiana, and San Quentin, California.
In her free time, she enjoys singing, going to the gym, and exploring the outdoors. She is currently writing a book about her travels and life experiences. Wenche is a native Norwegian and visits her family in Norway as often as she can.
